Wrist Allograft Tissue Therapy
How long does it take to see results?
The time it takes to see results with wrist allograft tissue therapy can vary depending on the severity of the injury and your individual healing process. Generally, you may begin to notice improvements in pain and function within a few weeks. However, full recovery and optimal results often take several months, typically around 3 to 6 months. As we assess your wrist (or wrists), we’ll be able to give you a clearer idea of the timeline for your treatment.
Can the therapy be combined with other treatments?
Certainly. It’s common for wrist allograft therapy to be applied alongside other treatments like physical therapy or even minor surgery to help patients improve the condition of their wrists. Your personalized treatment plan can often work alongside existing therapies or recommend complementary ones to support your allograft tissue injections.
How long is the recovery period?
For most people, it usually takes just a few days before they’re ready to resume their normal daily activities and light exercise. Fuller recovery and improvement happen over a longer period, closer to 3-6 months, as you continue with physical therapy, strengthening exercises, and rest that help your wrists fully heal.
Are there any common side effects?
Right after an allograft tissue injection, it’s normal to experience temporary soreness, swelling, or stiffness around the treatment area as your body heals. We’ll guide you on how to manage any side effects after the procedure and minimize any discomfort that you experience.
